Sanda is a modern fighting technique originally developed by the Chinese military and influenced by many styles of ancient Chinese martial arts. This style of fighting uses punches, kicks, and throws to combat an opponent.
This course will focus on practicing and perfecting these simple but effective movements and is intended for beginning and experienced students alike.
This course has 4 goals:
- develop skills for self-defense
- stress relief
- personal enrichment
This course will involve active movements including kicking, punching, and throws. It is recommended that you acquire boxing style gloves, preferably full gloves instead of half-gloves. Students will not spar each other so other protective equipment is not required.
